We have a number of different eyelid surgeries available at the clinic and will discuss these in depth with you at your initial consultation appointment. Fundamentally, there are two approaches:
1. Permanent Non-incisional Double Eyelid Surgery
The non-incisional method creates a permanent natural crease without any incision. The procedure sees 5-6 micro holes (1-2mm) made in the upper eyelids which are then connected to the eye-opening muscle (levator).
2. Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery
This method is a versatile surgical method that can remove fat and control various tissues to achieve a permanent double fold crease. This method uses a full incision on the eyelid and manipulates the skin, fat, and muscle to create a natural, but defined crease.
Epicanthoplasty is a specialist cosmetic surgery that aims to make the eyes look bigger by elongating them horizontally. More popular with Asian patients who want to enlarge their eyes, this treatment corrects the epicanthal, or Mongolian, fold.
4. Lateral Canthoplasty
Lateral Canthoplasty enlarges the outer edge of the eye and the slant of the palpebral fissure. Both the shape and angle of the eye can be corrected through this surgery. When combined with other procedures, surgery can totally transform the look of the patient.
5. Lateral Canthoplasty + Eye Corner Lowering Surgery
It is recommended for people who have significantly slanted eyes and, as a result, can portray a stern facial profile. The outer corners will be extended both horizontally and vertically.
6. Eye Revision surgery
Eyelid surgery is typically a straightforward procedure, but on rare occasions revision eyelid surgery needs to be performed after a patient has already undergone previous eyelid surgery. Unfavorable eyelid plastic surgery results can be adjusted.
7. Upper Blepharoplasty
Our eyelid lift surgery, helps to create a more youthful, refreshed, and rested appearance around the eye area. As aging occurs the eyelids become droopy These symptoms can cause “ptosis”which accelerate the aging process by forming wrinkles around the eyes and forehead.
8. Lower Blepharoplasty
It is a surgical procedure that improves the appearance of the eyelids by tightening muscles and tissue and/or removing excess fat and skin. A lower eyelid blepharoplasty can be performed on adult men and women alike and offers a younger, more refreshed look that reflects across the whole face.
9. Conjunctival Eye Bag Repositioning
As we age, the muscles, fat and skin starts to loosen or migrate downwards, causing a puffiness which is commonly referred to as eye bags. Conjunctival eye bag repositioning can effectively diminish eye bags and rejuvenate a person’s appearance.
10. Non-incisional Ptosis Surgery
Ptosis refers to the drooping of the upper eyelids. People with ptosis often have difficulty opening their eyes completely. It is caused by a weakened eye opening levator or Müller’s muscle, which is the main eye opening levator muscle.
11. Incisional Ptosis Surgery
This second method is recommended for people with puffy and droopy upper eyelid skin with severe ptosis with relatively thick upper eyelids. Similar to an incisional double eyelid surgery, a full incision is performed to tighten the eye opening levator muscle.
